Mike has almost 30 years of marketing, market research and CRM/Big data experience. He helps companies address marketing opportunities through by understanding end users needs, turning them into insight/data specifications and converting that output into clear, actionable results. Most recently he created the Big Data team at Hong Kong Telecom, while also supporting Big Data projects at other Telcos.
Mike began his career at Procter & Gamble, where he managed both new and established brands. Mike then spent 17 years with McKinsey & Company doing marketing consulting, based in New York and Hong Kong. While there he created the Asia-Pacific marketing practice and was a founder of the global CRM practice. Mike was also Global Head of Knowledge Management for Synovate , where he lead efforts to improve the value clients obtain from research. At SingTel, Mike created the L!ving Analytics team. That team drove the use of both customer data and customer research to help the business understand customer and customer data opportunities.
Mike has an MBA, High Distinction (Baker Scholar) from Harvard Business School and two Bachelors degrees, Magna Cum Laude, from the Wharton School and College, University of Pennsylvania. Mike is a frequent speaker at conferences and published several times in the McKinsey Quarterly on marketing issues in developing and Asian markets. He is the former Board Chair of AFS-USA, a leading high school foreign exchange organization and an avid traveler, having visited over 125 countries.
Dr. Hargreaves, works as Chief of the Master of Technology Enterprise Business Analytics Programme at the Institute of Systems Science, at the National University of Singapore, where her role includes: designing business analytic courses, teaching, consulting & research in business analytics.
For over 20 years, Dr Carol Hargreaves has worked with a variety of industries to make businesses more intelligent. More specifically, she achieved this through the red hot science called business analytics.
Holder of a PhD in statistics, Dr Hargreaves’ extensive credentials in the field include working as a Quantitative Methods Manager at Cegedim Strategic Data in Australia providing market research analysis for pharmaceutical giants such as Pfizer, Novartis and Merck Sharp & Dohme. For three years, she was also the Advanced Analytics Statistician at Synovate Aztec in Australia, where she developed sales and marketing models for food manufacturers like Nestle, Masterfoods Australia and Goodman Fielder. She also previously served as a biostatistician at the National Health Medical Research Council at the University of Sydney and Head of Department for the Department of Statistics at the University of Durban-Westville.
Dr. Hargreaves holds a PhD in Statistics from the University of South Africa and a MBA from the University of Wales (Cardiff). She was awarded the Foundation of Research and Development Scholarship in 1988, and Head of the Department of Statistics at the University of Durban-Westville in 1989 and 2000.
Dr. Hargreaves has published several research papers in Business Analytics, Hospitality & Tourism, Inventory Systems, Stock Trading, Carbon Emission Reduction and Clinical Trials and has presented some of these papers at International Conferences.
Deep Thomas is a Global business leader with over 20 years of experience in delivering sustained increasing profitability through business transformation leveraging novel processes, information and Digital capabilities, Advanced analytics, and Big data solutions.
Deep is currently the CEO of Tata Insights and Quants, a Big Data company that is incubated as the Tata Groups’ Analytics and Data powerhouse. Prior to joining Tata Group, Deep led Citigroup’s Global Decision Management Centre of Excellence for its Global Retail Banking and Consumer Finance Business. He has also held various leadership positions with HSBC and American Express in India and US, respectively, where he led high performing large-scale multi-site advanced analytics, direct marketing, and risk management functions.

Ashish Gupta is Manager – Data Analytics for Customer Marketing Analytics in Walmart Inc. Ashish comes with about 10 years of experience in the analytics industry across several domains including retail, banking, and marketing.
Prior to Walmart, Ashish was Sr. Manager – Data Science at Fair Isaac India, where he oversaw analytic research and product development for consumer retail and retail banking solutions. His work included customer marketing analytics (propensity to buy, attrition, real-time offer assignment, life time value, segmentation) and customer engagement analytics (spend prediction, attrition, social graph, text mining). Ashish also led marketing analytics efforts for HSBC Asia-Pacific supporting credit cards, mortgages, and personal loans portfolios. Ashish hold two patents in US PTO for his work in identifying system anomalies in machine log data, and was one of the twelve finalists for TEXATA World Big Data Championship 2015. Ashish holds an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, Master in Science in Transportation Engineering from the MIT Cambridge, and a Bachelor of Technology from IIT Madras.
Wipaporn is currently an Executive Director, Head of Portfolio and Regulatory Management at United Overseas Bank (UOB) Thailand. In this role, she oversees the portfolio analytics and model management, including credit scorecard, Basel models and marketing models, to optimize risk adjusted returns on capital for retail and small SME portfolios.
Wipaporn has 17 years of experience in Retail Banking working for leading financial institutions such as GE Money and Standard Chartered. Prior roles include Heading of Retail Lending Credit at Standard Chartered and Head of Risk Analytics and Risk Technology at GE Money.

Siah is currently heading the customer analytics and insights for retail banking (comprising individual and commercial customers) in Maybank Malaysia. He is responsible in driving the customer analytics agenda to increase revenue through implementing cross sell initiatives from the insights of the analytics. Siah and his team share the vision of being the trusted advisor and revenue enabler to the stakeholders through working very closely with them as internal business partners.

Rajendra is a seasoned analytics professional in banking and financial services domain. His work has enabled business managers to make data driven decisions across marketing, risk, credit, collection, fraud and money laundering areas.
In the current role, Rajendra is heading Financial Crime Analytics practice at Axis Bank Ltd, India. He is responsible for leveraging analytics and machine learning to improve efficiency and effectiveness across application stage fraud screening, transaction fraud, and money laundering areas
